Overview

InsOrbit ("we," "us," or "our") is a Chrome browser extension that runs entirely on your local device. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled. By using InsOrbit, you agree to this Policy.

1. What We Do NOT Collect

InsOrbit does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Your Instagram credentials or session data
• The content you download (photos, videos, or any media files)
• Your browsing history or activity on Instagram
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage analytics
• Any personal information beyond what is strictly required for licensing

2. What We Collect

When you purchase a Pro plan, our payment processor handles your payment information directly. We receive a transaction confirmation and generate a license key tied to your purchase. We store only:

• Your license key and its activation status
• The number of devices your license is active on (up to 3)
• The plan type and purchase date

We do not store your name, email address, or any payment card details. Those remain with your payment provider under their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• License delivery and validation — to issue, activate, and verify your Pro license
• Billing and payment processing — handled by our third-party payment processor
• Customer support — to respond to your inquiries and resolve issues
• Security and fraud prevention — to detect abuse of license keys
• Legal compliance — to meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is listed above. We may aggregate anonymized, non-identifiable data for statistical product improvement.

4. Local Processing Only

All downloads are processed locally in your Chrome browser. Files are saved directly to your device's default download folder. No media files, metadata, or Instagram content passes through our servers at any point.

5. License Activation

When you activate your license key in the extension, the key is sent to our server solely to verify its validity and register the device. This request contains only the license key and a device identifier — no personal data.

6. Third-Party Services

• Payment processor — processes payments and subscriptions on our behalf. Your payment details are governed exclusively by your payment provider's own privacy policy. Card data is handled by a PCI-DSS certified processor and is never stored on our servers.
• License verification backend — hosts and validates license records only. No personal data beyond license keys and device counts is stored.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit via TLS / HTTPS for all server communication
• Access controls based on the least-privilege principle
• Confidentiality obligations for any staff or contractors with data access

In the event of a security incident that may affect your data rights, we will notify you promptly. Please keep your license key secure and do not share it with others.

8. Data Retention

License records are retained for the duration of your subscription or lifetime license. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable financial regulations. You may request deletion of your license record at any time by contacting us, which will deactivate your Pro access.

9. Your Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding the limited data we hold:

• Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your license record
• Right to restrict processing — request that we temporarily suspend use of your data
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@insorbit.com. We will respond within 30 calendar days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

InsOrbit is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Extension or this website may contain links to third-party services (such as Instagram or your payment provider). This Policy applies only to data we directly collect. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before use.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide advance notice and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of InsOrbit after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
